Having my morning coffee with you

Today for the first time in my life I had my morning coffee with you, I've never had it with anyone on earth as I hate talking during this time of the day, I just like to sip my coffee and think...

Today was an exception, you were here really early and I had to invite you to have it with me, not sure what you'll find out after this about me.."would you like to have a cup of coffee with me?" I said with half an eye opened..you smiled and said "sure why am I here then?"...and I thought "oh great now he'll start talking what a morning"...

I fixed the coffee and we sat on the veranda facing the street...sipping my coffee I was anticipating your first words, but to my surprise you didn't say a word...

You drank your coffee sitting there gazing to the empty street, not one word was said I even felt I was alone for a moment.

I was done with my coffee when I looked into your eyes, I didn't say a word, I just smiled and I was totally relaxed, forgetting for a moment the headache I have every morning, I was happy...

You finished your coffee, looked at me and said "this is the best cup of coffee I've had in years", and I just smiled.

We went to work and on the way I said "I was scared to ask you for coffee, I hate talking in the morning" and you said "I was afraid to say yes, I love the quietness of the morning".

In that moment I realized how important it is to have a cup of coffee in the morning with someone who understands your way of living, I was relaxed and happy for spending the day with you.

Stupid quotes from famous people

These are some quotes I read and liked, think of them and realize how stupid they sound.

- Homer J. Simpson: "I never apologize. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I am."

- Dan Quayle, former U.S. Vice-President : "It is wonderful to be here in the great state of Chicago"
for those who don't know the U.S.A's map...Chicago is not a state!!

- Alan Minter, Boxer: "Sure there have been injuries and deaths in boxing - but none of them serious."

- Anonymous Traffic Report: "Traffic is very heavy at the moment, so if you are thinking of leaving now, you'd better set off a few minutes earlier."

- Al Gore, Vice President: "It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."

And at last I think that you will be much more respected when you are silent than when you talk about something without THINKING

Gabriel Garcia Marquez, a great writer and a genius, saying goodbye to his friends

Gabriel Garcia Marquez withdrew himself from public life for health reasons after being diagnosed with lymphatic cancer.

He sent a letter of good-bye to his friends, and thanks to Internet this letter is being diffused.

If God, for a second, forgot what I have become and granted me a little bit more of life, I would use it to the best of my ability.
I wouldn't possibly, say everything that is in my mind, but I would be more thoughtful of all I say.
I would give merit to things not for what they are worth, but for what they mean to express.
I would sleep little, I would dream more, because I know that for every minute that we close our eyes, we waste 60 seconds of light.
I would walk while others stop; I would awake while others sleep.
If God would give me a little bit more of life, I would dress in a simple manner, I would place myself in front of the sun, leaving not only my body, but my soul naked at its mercy.
To all men I would say how mistaken they are when they think that they stop falling in love when they grow old, without knowing that they grow old when they stop falling in love.     I would give wings to children, but I would leave it to them to learn how to fly by themselves.     To old people I would say that death doesn't arrive when they grow old, but with forgetfulness.     I have learned so much with you all, I have learned that everybody wants to live on top of the mountain, without knowing that true happiness is obtained in the journey taken & the form used to reach the top of the hill.
I have learned that when a newborn baby holds, with its little hand, his father's finger, it has trapped him for the rest of his life.
I have learned that a man has the right and obligation to look down at another man, only when that man needs help to get up from the ground.
Say always what you feel, not what you think. If I knew that today is the last time that that I am going to see you asleep, I would hug you with all my strength and I would pray to the Lord to let me be the guardian angel of your soul.
If I knew that these are the last moments to see you, I would say "I love you".
There is always tomorrow, and life gives us another opportunity to do things right, but in case I am wrong, and today is all that is left to me, I would love to tell you how much I love you & that I will never forget you.
Tomorrow is never guaranteed to anyone, young or old. Today could be the last time to see your loved ones, which is why you mustn't wait; do it today, in case tomorrow never arrives. I am sure you will be sorry you wasted the opportunity today to give a smile, a hug, a kiss, and that you were too busy to grant them their last wish.
Keep your loved ones near you; tell them in their ears and to their faces how much you need them and love them. Love them and treat them well; take your time to tell them "I am sorry";" forgive me"," please", "thank you", and all those loving words you know.
Nobody will know you for your secret thought. Ask the Lord for wisdom and strength to express them.
Show your friends and loved ones how important they are to you.
Send this letter to those you love. If you don't do it today...tomorrow will be like yesterday, and if you never do it, it doesn't matter, either, the moment to do it is now.

A great letter from a great writer who gave humanity a new horizon with his novels, stories, and stories about reality.

If you don't recognize his name you will surly recognize one of his best novels "Love in the time of Cholera", or his reality book "living to tell the tale."

Music teachers, why are they different?

Music is a subject that is different than any other subject a child takes at school, therefore the class is much different and so is the teacher.

If music is given in the right way it will help the students with math, science, and even languages, but if given in a wrong way it will drift students away from humanity and they will become machines with no sensitivity or morals.

Educationally:
The music teacher should be good in math, has some knowledge in physics, languages, and history. Sure enough these are only an addition to his very good knowledge and complete comfort in his field; music.
Characteristics of a good music teacher:
The teacher should be fully capable of leaving his/her problems outside the door, when around students always be happy and energetic, music is fun!
A music teacher should keep up with all the important events in the world in sports, politics, arts, literature, and even in architecture and medicine; he should always update his information and learn how to read a newspaper.
A music teacher should be able to deal with math and physics with relaxation within the aspects that are related to music (adding, subtracting..etc. and temperature, water...etc.)
When noticing one of the students having a problem in behavior or is not happy, the music teacher should try to communicate with this student, music is a living art and so are musicians, do not put a block between you and your students.
Good morning, good afternoon, thank you, please, and good bye; are all words a music teacher should use with students and stress they use them with each other.
Being able to talk about any musical period in history is a must, do not try to say anything you are not sure, transferring wrong information is more dangerous that not giving any.
Make sure your students move, talk, and “play” in your class, it’s a fun class do not ruin it.
These are all things I’ve learnt and I’ve been using most of them, thanks to my teacher who is now my boss our students are the best in the school educationally and disciplinary, and are often recognized all over the kingdom.

Mama thank you for who I am

Not one single day passes by without me thanking God for the amazing woman my mother is.
Even during my toughest days my mother has been there for me, even when she was freaking out because of some of my decisions mom always made sure to show me she loved and supported me.

This song is exactly what I feel about my mother.

Thank you God for making me her daughter.

"Shall We Dance" how is it related to life

I've seen the movie Shall We Dance hundreds of times, but when I saw it yesterday night it felt as if it's the first time for me to watch this film.

I started thinking, and too many questions came on my mind.
Should one be really embarrassed for not being happy with his spouse? Will it ever be easy to confess not being happy without hurting the other part?
All these questions I leave to you to think about.

But the most important question about this film for me was… should a couple always do everything together? Is there anything as “my own world” in a marriage?

I noticed a lot of females complaining about their spouse having a world of his own, that she cannot be in, and of course visa versa, but I think if you have the confidence in yourself and you TRUST your spouse then you will be able to train yourself to be happy for the “own world” your lover has.

Studies stated that if both parties in a marriage has their own friends, separate work environments the marriage would last longer and be happier…

This movie Shall We Dance will never get old, well at least for me… if you’ve never watched this movie then you need to do it will just give you the push you need to go on…

The end of the tunnel

For four years I've been looking at the end of the tunnel, sometimes I saw the light bright and shining almost like the sun, and other times I couldn't even notice it, it was too weak as a start at noon time.

Today, after I graduated, after I finished four years of hard work, I can see that the tunnel is just starting and what I saw before was barely a bridge to what's coming next.

I realize now that a very long tunnel has just appeared, and that I started my journey in it the minute I stepped out of that room as a graduate, and I am sure I'm ready for this journey, in fact I've been waiting for it wanting sometimes to run to it, but now I realize how beautiful it is when it comes in the right time.

I can't wait for this trip to begin and I have good feelings about it, I am lucky and I know it, I have a teaching job that I love, students that I care about, and teachers who prepared me well for this trip whom promised to stay there whenever I need them.

Thank you all it's been an honor for me to study with all of you, I promise to try my best not to let anyone of you down ever.

Give Thanks

"Thank you" a phrase made of simple words with the greatest effect any other two words can do together.

Unfortunately people think they don't have time to say it, we're always in a hurry, we do not have time to thank anyone who did a good thing to us.

Thank the man who cleans your desk at school or work, I'm not saying you have to go look for him but sure you've countered him at least 5 times today.

Thank your family for taking care of you, they don't have time too but they still do that.

I believe that every time we remember to say “thank you”, we experience nothing less than heaven on earth.

Thank you" can motivate, validate, and give positive reinforcement. "Thank you" for the ordinary as well as the extraordinary can enhance the worker's interpersonal relationships immeasurably and make it well worth the time spent. You can't afford to not say thank you frequently and graciously to those around you.

It's two words, and unlike some people think they are not humiliating but on the contrary, these two words will make the person in front of you value and cherish serving you.

Thank you for reading my post :)

Love by Pablo Neruda

Because of you, in gardens of blossoming flowers I ache from the
perfumes of spring.
   I have forgotten your face, I no longer remember your hands;
how did your lips feel on mine?
Because of you, I love the white statues drowsing in the parks,
the white statues that have neither voice nor sight.
I have forgotten your voice, your happy voice; I have forgotten
your eyes.
Like a flower to its perfume, I am bound to my vague memory of
you. I live with pain that is like a wound; if you touch me, you will
do me irreparable harm.
Your caresses enfold me, like climbing vines on melancholy walls.
I have forgotten your love, yet I seem to glimpse you in every
window.
Because of you, the heady perfumes of summer pain me; because
of you, I again seek out the signs that precipitate desires: shooting
stars, falling objects.

Starting Beginners this year

I started working as a band teacher and assistant since August, and I knew we are having beginners this year, but I just couldn't predict how it will look like.

Well, needless to say the beginning of the year was a nightmare; tryouts, selling instruments, finding instruments in the country for students to buy, arranging their classes, all along with the other two bands taking their classes, their band rehearsals, and helping them out.

Finally Monday came and our beginners had their first band rehearsal, it was chaotic they were very excited, we were excited too, but personally I had some fear, the fear of doing it for the first time...the fear of transferring whatever knowledge I have to these students.

The rehearsal was smooth, the students were so clever and fast learners, and then it hit me...these kids are smart why are we treating them as if they don't understand a thing? I guess at that moment I discovered something that not too many people realize....children are smart!!!!

Well today I had a class with 2 groups of them, and I was amazed by them, they are really getting it faster than any group I've ever seen (and they are not that much!!).

I am so excited about them and I hope they will keep their enthusiasm all the year long.

A word to the parents and teachers: your children get it more than you know, you need to get used to that, they are thinking fast and you might be left behind already...

working with teenage students

So I am a music teacher, and so far I love it, every time I have doubts my students are there to give me faith in what I do, they are great, everyone of them is special in his/her own way.

When I started teaching 5 months ago, teenagers were a problem to me, they are moody people, one day they like music the next day they just want to quit, they are naggers and they have the power to shout and run but not to learn and practice.

Well, I am proud to say I've come a long way, I like teaching them, teenagers are smart, and if you respect their minds, challenge them enough, and yet keep and maintain a relationship built on mutual respect you will be able to get wonders out of them.

Lessons I learned so far:

A quitter can become a leader if you find the right words to say, and the right attitude to use.
A smile in the beginning of the class always help.
Setting goals, and telling your students about them actually help them to work more.
Answer their questions no matter what they are, just teach them to choose the right time for every question.

These lessons I learned the hard way, but the important thing is that I learned them.

I love my job, and I love those kids, I am proud of every one of them.

10 years ago, in 6/1/2000 the world took a very precious person to my heart.

I was his princess, I was his little one, and I knew how much he loved me every time I saw that sparkle in his eyes.

He was my angel, the kind you don't recognize until you loose...

10 years ago I lost my grandfather, a man I will always think of as a protector for me in heaven, someone who watches me from up there, to guide and help me in this life.

Life gets too busy but I can't get you out off my mind, and I regret it every day that I didn't spend the whole time with you in your last days, it's just that they thought it would be easier, it wasn't really...

I miss you, and I really need you here, I swear I wont complain about having to sit beside you all day long...

Knowing that there is somewhere you can't go

Your request has been denied...

No one can imagine how painful this sentence is till they try it.e

Getting your request rejected to go somewhere is seriously painful, especially when you are going to your own country, a country that you are supposed to be living in not just visiting, and yet you can't set a foot in it.

Getting a visa to visit Jerusalem was something I refused to do all my life, until a year ago when I decided to get over my pride and do it, I really miss the land...so I did it...

My request was denied over and over again for many different reasons, and sometimes for no reason at all, how come I can get a visa to visit any country in the world but not my own...hell how come I need a visa to visit it!!!

When will we be able to go to Palestine (all of it) just as our grandfathers used to do...no one said a word to them back then...

It was hard enough for me to accept the fact that an Israeli will be inspecting me and questioning the reason I'm there, now I have to live with the fact that my request was denied by someone who doesn't even have the right to live in our country...
